Description :
Study of Pedestrian-Vehicle Interaction Using Virtual Reality
We explored the interaction between pedestrians and vehicles to propose contextually appropriate movement of vehicles. We developed a simulated crosswalk using Virtual Reality (VR) technology.
Our results show car size, speed, and presence of companion affected pedestrian movement
Role of Trust in Interaction with AI agents
We used the Wizard of Oz paradigm to explore potential factors that influence trust in smart speakers.
Results showed human-like characteristics positively impact the interaction with the user.
The present study also suggests the value of social science approach to the study of robot or artificial intelligence agent in daily life.
